Jerusalem Jewish Group Tour
Guaranteed Departure: every Monday and Thursday
We will start the day with a magnificent overview of Jerusalem and the Judean desert from Mount Scopus, which is near the campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
We will proceed to the old city and enter via the Zion gate, where Israeli paratroopers broke into the old city during the Six Day War in 1967. We will visit the tomb of King David and walk along the Cardo (the ancient Roman road) to view the remains of the wall of Jerusalem from the 1st Temple period. We will visit the Jewish Quarter and the four Sephardic Synagogues from the 16th century which were restored after the 67 war.
We will visit the Davidson Center, and tour the southern Kotel excavation. We will visit the Kotel and Join the Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies at the Western Wall.
We will continue to Mea Shearim (Hassidic neighborhood) and learn about the unique lifestyle of the Ultra orthodox communities.
We will drive to Mount Hertzel, the military cemetery and Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. We will make our way back to the hotels in the afternoon.
