Haifa Shore Excursions

Our most popular itinerary from Haifa is the full day tour to the Biblical North of Israel.

There are 3 main routes to consider: (1) The Christian focused itinerary (2) The Jewish oriented tour (3) The General Highlights day-trip. You can travel with your own private party or you can join our semi-private or small group tours. On all our tours we will pick you up right from the port (as you exit the ship) and will safely return you back to the port in time for departure. ALWAYS - WITHOUT EXCEPTION!

For the Christian North Israel tour we will start by driving north along Israel’s scenic coastal shore via the plain of Armageddon to Nazareth. In Nazareth we will visit the Church of the Annunciation and there is an option to see Mary's Well and St Gabriel's Church. We will continue via Cana to the Sea of Galilee, and enter the Mount of Beatitudes and the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish at Tabgha. We will visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue at Capernaum and the famous city of Christ. We will drive to Kibbutz Ginosar on the Sea of Galilee to see an excavated boat from the time of Jesus and hear about the communal life at the Israeli Kibbutz. Next we will discover the baptism site at the River Jordan and will make our way back to Haifa for a panoramic view from Mount Carmel to the bay of Haifa and the famous Baha'i Gardens.

For the Jewish focused itinerary, we will start with a visit to the Roman city of Acre (Akko) for a walk in the Crusader conquered old town. We will then continue to Rosh Hanikra via Naharyia to explore the Limestone Grottoes at Israel's Northern Border. Descending by cable car we will continue to explore inside the limestone caves. Next we will drive to the Jewish city of Safed (Tsfat in Hebrew) to visit historical synagogues, cobblestone streets, and the famous Artists' colony located in this mystic town at the top of the mountain. From Safed it is downwards towards Rosh Pina to visit modern Art Galleries in the narrow cobblestone alleyways (time permitting). We will drive via the Sea of Galilee with its fantastic views to the Golan Heights and visit a Kibbutz to learn about the communal lifestyle. We will end the day at Mount Carmel to see the sunset over the Haifa Bay and the Baha'i Gardens.
