Israel Shore Excursions - 2 day plan
So you are coming to Israel for 2 days and you want to know what to do...
Good - so let's get started!
Most tours arrive at the port of Haifa for day one and then in Ashdod for day two - although this is not always the case.
From Haifa - it is most recommended to visit the North of Israel because Haifa is located well for a visit to the Northern sights. There are 3 main itineraries here: (1) to visit mainly Jewish sights (2) to explore mainly Christian biblical Israel (3) an itinerary for those who wish to cover the highlights of Israel's North. Some of our visitors do choose to visit Jerusalem from Haifa and this is also a nice itinerary, but it is less popular because there is more driving to see Jerusalem from Haifa (Jerusalem is closer to Ashdod) and you will miss out on Israel's North - which is worth the time to explore.
From the Ashdod port - there are 3 popular routes:
(1) Jerusalem and Yad Vashem memorial (2) Jerusalem and Bethlehem (3) Jerusalem and the Dead Sea
For those arriving in Israel seeking the spiritual experience, Jerusalem and Bethlehem is definitely a recommended trip. If you wish to go for a FULL day of spectacular sights and experiences (not necessarily religious) - it is recommended to do Jerusalem AND the Dead Sea in one day. This option is not offered by the cruise ships because they only tour with big buses but it is recommended if you are joining us for a small group tour. You will be able to visit two of the most amazing places in the world in just one day of travel...Jerusalem + the Dead Sea!
So there you have it - the most recommended places to visit are the North of Israel from Haifa and Jerusalem with either Bethlehem, Yad Vashem, or the Dead Sea from the port of Ashdod.
